Synopsis
As part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, US Army infantry and armour from 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment trained alongside NATO Ally Lithuania’s mechanised infantry from the Grand Duke Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion on a training ground near the Lithuanian city of Klaipėda. The Cavalry soldiers arrived in Lithuania in mid-December 2020 and will remain until mid-July 2021.
Footage includes shots of units performing joint tactical manoeuvres with both infantry and armour in dense woodland, and an interview with Captain Evan Ringel, Commander, Bravo Company, 2-8 Cav, US Army.
To safeguard against COVID-19 infection, all troops have been operating within a self-contained bubble of personnel. All soldiers tested negative for COVID-19 prior to any interactions.
