NATO is testing energy-saving technologies to make the military more efficient, save money and reduce reliance on fossil fuels when in the field.
Here are five different technologies NATO Allies and partners regularly test in the field during military exercises.
Footage includes shots of solar panels, wind turbines, insulated tents, LED landing lights, rapidly deployable energy metering kits and atmospheric water generators tested at the Smart Energy Training and Assessment Camp (SETAC), a concept deployed as part of the multinational exercise Capable Logistician in 2015 and 2019, a regular exercise for NATO and partner nations to test interoperability and assess NATO standards.
