Synopsis
Exercise Engineer Thunder 19 is a Lithuanian exercise involving NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Lithuania, with engineering troops from NATO Allies Netherlands, Germany, the United States and Lithuania conducting engineer counter-mobility, mobility, survivability and general engineering tasks during military operations, while supporting infantry units. Combat engineers are used to fortify defensive positions, demolish enemy fortifications, or help ground troops circumnavigate obstacles like dense forests or rivers.
